Gift trees are a fast growing sort of present and gift choice for a variety of celebratory occasions. Across all of the cultures and sort of religions, trees are generally understood to be symbols of life, energy, health, and naturalism. There are of course more specific connotations of certain types of trees, such as the olive tree, which typically represents peace and good faith in most Wester contexts (the “olive branch”). There’s the willow tree, which is often associated with the poetic pairing of “weeping” and “willow”. And nurseries will vary in their packaging and selling of these gift trees. There are some nurseries that sell futures on larger trees that are based and rooted (literally) in farms that retail these trees out to consumers in urban areas.
